A more grown up name for the summer’s favourite shoe is the toe post sandal. Toe post sandals are typically the same as flipflops, and many leading manufacturers use the terms interchangeably. However, the general consensus in the fashion community is that toe-post sandals are a bit more sturdy than flipflops – and usually they’re not made of rubber. This makes toe post sandals a solid alternative to other shoes in the summer months for men and women who need to look that little bit smarter.
Popular designers making toe post sandals for men include Ted Baker, Vans and Simple. The majority of trendy toe-post sandals for men are made from leather, with natural cork foot beds. Obviously, popular flipflop and beach sandal makers like Reef produce toe-post sandals for men as well.
Designer toe-post sandals for women are also popular this season. Though women’s toe-post sandals tend to be more expensive than those on offer for men, there are still a number of affordable options available.
